The 2016 edition of NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection provides first-time requirements for multistage multiport pumps that give designers and engineers more options. This edition also clarifies the requirements for fire pumps arranged in series with new information designers and contractors will need.

Windows Maps,^[2] and its predecessor Maps,^[1] are web mappingclient software for the Bing Maps service. The Maps app is included with Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, while Windows Maps is included with Windows 10 and is available for Xbox One.

The mapping service was made by Microsoft and HERE maps. Its features include viewing classic style maps with roads and street names, and viewing cities in '3D'. Bing Maps features are available, including viewing Streetside panoramas of roads. Users can synchronise favourites and directions with a Microsoft account. The Maps app can be downloaded and used offline. It is possible to submit updates to the Maps. app^[3]

The Maps app is a Metro-style app while Windows Maps is a Universal Windows Platform app.^[1][2]

The Maps app is based on existing Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft MapPoint and TerraServer that are already used in Bing Maps. It was first implemented on Windows Phone 7.5 and was updated with new features in Windows Phone 8.1 where the Maps app took on a Purple paper map-looking logo and had features like the Windows 10 Mobile. Windows Maps (on Windows 10 Mobile) then changed the layout of the Maps app, including the logo. Since coming out of preview, there has been three different layout changes, including the introduction of tabs, the ability for users to sketch using ink, a switch for choosing between a light and dark interface for the app shell, and a switch for choosing between a light and dark map.^[4][5][6]

After HERE Maps announced it was discontinuing its Windows 10 Mobile app, Windows Maps announced support for migrating up to 300 favorites from HERE Maps to Windows Maps.^[7]

In July 2010, Microsoft and DigitalGlobe, a leading global content provider of high-resolution earth imagery solutions, announced the collection of the first imagery from the company's Advanced Ortho Aerial Program. Through a special agreement with Microsoft, the Advanced Ortho Aerial Program will provide wall-to-wall 30 cm aerial coverage of the contiguous United States and Western Europe that DigitalGlobe has the exclusive rights to distribute beyond Bing Maps. The program's first orthophoto mosaics are of Augusta, GA, San Diego, CA and Tampa, FL, and can be viewed on DigitalGlobe's website.^[8]

Nero Burning ROM, commonly called Nero, is an optical disc authoring program from Nero AG. The software is part of the Nero Multimedia Suite but is also available as a stand-alone product. It is used for burning and copying optical discs such as CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays. The program also supports label printing technologies LightScribe and LabelFlash and can be used to convert audio files into other audio formats.

Nero Burning ROM is a pun in reference to Roman Emperor Nero, who was best known for his association in the Great Fire of Rome. The emperor allegedly fiddled while the city of Rome burned. Also, Rome in German is spelled Rom. The software's logo features a burning Colosseum, although this is an anachronism as it was not built until after Nero's death.^[2]

Nero Burning ROM is only available for Microsoft Windows. A Linux-compatible version was available from 2005 to 2012, but it has since been discontinued.^[3] In newer versions, media can be added to compilations via the Nero MediaBrowser. Nero AirBurn, a new feature in Nero 2015, enables users to burn media straight from their mobile devices.^[4] The latest version is Nero Burning ROM 2017 released in October 2016 including SecurDisc 4.0 with 256-bit encryption.

The software supports the creation of a variety of media formats:^[5]

• Printing on discs with LightScribe and LabelFlash technology

Image format support[edit]

Nero Burning ROM works with a number of optical disc image formats, including the raw uncompressed image using the ISO9660 standard and Nero's proprietary NRGfile format. Depending on the version, additional image formats may be supported. To use non-natively supported formats such as lossless FLAC, Wavpack, and Shorten, additional program modules must be installed. The modules are also known as plug-ins and codecs and are usually free, although Nero AG sells some proprietary video and audio plug-ins. Standard CD images created by Nero products have the filename extension .NRG, but users can also create and burn normal ISO images.

Varieties[edit]

Nero Burning ROM is integrated in the Nero Multimedia Suite and is also available as a downloadable standalone product. It is also a part of Nero Essentials – a slimmed-down version of Nero Multimedia Suite – that comes bundled with OEM computers and optical disc writers.^[6]
